about
Kate
Kate is the founder and lead instructor at The Art of Cheese, a cheesemaking school based in Longmont, Colorado that specializes in hands-on classes for home cheesemakers. She also raises dairy goats on her family’s picturesque Boulder County farm and her classroom is located there.
Kate may be a country girl now, but she grew up as a city kid and later was a suburban stay-at-home mom when she first met a sweet herd of dairy goats that changed the course of her life. Not only is she raising goats and teaching cheesemaking now, but she is also an active leader with 4-H and writes cheesemaking and goatkeeping articles for a national homesteading journal.
Prior to launching The Art of Cheese in 2014, Kate was a professional life coach, working with individual clients and teaching workshops on Living Your Life with Passion & Purpose. She loves that she is truly practicing what she used to preach!
