To receive your Certification:

In addition to completing each online class, you must complete the following to receive your certificate:

For each class, please submit a photo of the cheese you made at any stage of the process. For classes covering multiple cheeses, for example Brie and Camembert, you are only required to submit a photo of one cheese (example: your beautiful homemade Camembert as it drains). Please e-mail your photo to info@theartofcheese.com with your name and the photo’s corresponding class.

Once you’ve completed each level, please submit a short write-up on what you’ve learned (a few sentences to a paragraph). This is our way of checking in with you as you progress. Please e-mail your write-up to info@theartofcheese.com with the name you’d like to appear on your certificate and your corresponding level.

Once we review your photos and write-up, we’ll send you your certificate. Past students have used their certificates to show off to their friends, bolster their resumes, and several students used their experience from our program to open their own creameries.

NOTE:  If you start at a lower level and want to move to a higher level later, we will pro-rate your next package purchase – just email us when ready.  We will also credit you for classes purchased individually if you want to apply them to a certification package.

Here’s what people are saying…

“I’m loving the courses. I have been making cheese for 3 or 4 years now and love it. I follow recipes and know that doing different things produces different outcomes. Your courses are showing me what each element does and why changing them brings different outcomes – that is so helpful. You have a lovely teaching manner and so I am happy to follow what you are doing.”     ~D.N., England

“The videos are AWESOME and I learned so much!”     ~J.D., Utah

“Just followed your online cheesemaking class and loved it. Every step was very clear.”     ~P.J., Belgium

“As a small-scale UK-based home cheesemaker I was struggling with Brie/Camembert; several attempts and poor results. I decided to view Kate’s on-demand class which was helpful, and highlighted some areas to watch closely for my next make. I also exchanged some emails with Kate after that make with specific questions on the affinage which Kate helpfully responded to. I have now seen and tasted the early results and I am very pleased. Lets hope I can recreate it next time!  I’ll be looking further at The Art of Cheese – I’d love to get  to Colorado one day for a live class!” ~ J. T., UK

“Your teaching style is fun and informative and not too much geek out.”     ~T.S., Colorado

“Yes there are online videos and recipes for making cheese, yet in the 90 minutes of my first class with Kate and team I learned more than I had watching dozens of videos or reading recipes. The cheese making classes include not just a over the shoulder of someone making cheese, but includes hints/tips on what to look for, what it should feel like. Instead of following recipe, after the first class I began to really make cheese with confidence.” ~ F. S., California

“I really enjoyed your video classes.”     ~T.P., Canada
