In this popular hands-on class, you will learn an easy and delicious 30-minute mozzarella recipe that works with grocery store cow milk and can be adapted to goat milk if desired. Learn what milks work best for this recipe and why, and then have some hands-on fun as we stretch the curd to create (and then eat!) a deliciously fresh and flavorful warm mozzarella. We’ll also teach you how to make stracciatella with the mozzarella curd which you can combine with your mozzarella to make burrata – a tasty stuffed mozzarella treat!
Students will get to make their own mozzarella and burrata to eat while at class or take some home with you. You will also receive the virtual recorded version of this class afterwards to refer back to as needed.
At the end of class, we’ll head down to the barnyard to visit with our friendly herd of Nubian Dairy Goats, including the spring babies (who are now teenagers)! You can interact with them as much as you’d like and take lots of pictures.
As a special bonus, once class is over, you’ll also receive a link to a recording of our On Demand class on MOZZARELLA. This will serve as a nice review and an introduction to our online classes!
VACCINATION POLICY: Due to the rise of Covid-19 infections and hospitalizations in Colorado, we are currently asking that only vaccinated students attend our in-person classes. We also do require wearing masks while indoors except when sampling your cheeses.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Due to the high popularity of our classes, we often have a waitlist. Please give us as much notice as possible if you are not going to be able to attend so that we can try to fill your spot.
- Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the class time will receive a full refund
- Cancellations made with less than a 48 hour notice will only receive a refund if we can fill your spot.
