Join Kate and co-conspirator Denise Milligan, a local Spanish cooking teacher who lives part-time in Spain, where she dives head-first into the world of amazing Spanish food and wine. Denise will teach you how to make several delicious tapas (small bites) and you will help in creating a wonderful light meal featuring our Spanish cheeses along with other delectable creations. These will be paired with fabulous Spanish wines that you can purchase locally, and you’ll sample a special treat she brought back with her to share with us! At the end of class you’ll get to come out to the barnyard and meet our fabulous Nubian dairy goats and their spring kids.

Learn how to make two of the most popular Spanish cheeses. The first, Manchego, is a wonderful hard cheese traditionally made with Sheep’s milk. This part of the class will be taught by Kate’s assistant, Becca Heins, who has experience making this cheese at home and will share all her tips for success with you. We’ll even fill you in on where you can source Sheep’s milk in the area. The second cheese, Cabra al Vino, is a nice semi-hard cheese that is made from goat’s milk and soaked in Spanish red wine. Delish!
