Join us for a full afternoon of cheesemaking where you’ll learn how to make all of our “Silver-Level” (Intermediate) cheeses including:
- Mold-ripened cheeses such as Brie, Camembert and Saint Maure;
- Washed-curd cheeses including Colby, Havarti and Gouda; and
- Washed-rind cheeses including a basic Trappist, Reblochon, and Taleggio
NOTE: Due to construction delays, this class will not be held at our new Haystack Mountain classroom which isn’t quite ready yet! Instead, we will meet at our current location within Launch Longmont at 350 Terry St.
If you’re brand new to cheesemaking don’t worry! We’ll cover enough of the basics that you’ll understand the terms and techniques needed to make these cheeses on your own. While we suggest starting with the Beginning Cheeses because they are quicker and require fewer specialized ingredients and equipment, if these are the cheeses you love, why not go for it!
