Description

This class teaches you how to make Havarti which is in the family of cheeses known as Washed-Curd cheeses. They have a mild flavor and moist supple texture that is created by diluting the whey with warm water during the cooking process. Though pressed and ripened (and often waxed) like harder cheeses, they don’t usually require long-term aging to fully develop. Other examples of washed-curd cheeses include Colby, Edam, and Gouda. Havarti is of Danish origin and has a mild taste and flexible texture. It’s great on sandwiches!
