With salad season upon us, come learn how to make two delicious easy additions – Feta and Queso Fresco! This is a hands on class and we will sample these cheeses inbetween learning the basics of cheesemaking.
We’ll start by learning how to make an easy version of Feta that is ready to enjoy after just one week! You’ll also learn how to make an herb-infused marinated feta and review a recipe for a traditional brined feta you can easily make at home.
We’ll also make a batch of Queso Fresco, a simple fresh cheese that can be made in the morning and served in the afternoon! A traditional Mexican cheese, it also pairs well with fresh fruits and sweet breads.
At the end of class, we’ll take a brief tour of the Haystack Mountain Creamery and you’ll receive either a free log of their award-winning Chevre or $5.00 off any of their other delicious cheeses!
