Description

Join us at the small Boulder County dairy goat farm that was the original inspiration for the creation of The Art of Cheese for this hands-on interactive cheesemaking experience!

We’ll start by meeting our small herd of Nubian and Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats including the spring babies who are growing up quickly but are super friendly.  You’ll get to try your hand at milking a dairy goat in our cozy milk house and then we’ll take that milk into our farmhouse kitchen and learn how to pasteurize it.

The fun and education will continue as we learn how to make several types of soft cheeses with this milk. We’ll start by making a fresh ricotta from the milk we just got from the goats! Then we’ll learn how to make the classic soft goat cheese, Chevre, and you’ll get to make a custom-flavored log of your own to eat now or take home with you. At the end of class we’ll sit down together for a light lunch featuring our freshly made cheeses, fruit and bread with a glass of wine.

Class size is limited to 6 for a truly personal farm-to-table experience!
