Description
Join us at our small Boulder County dairy goat farm for this hands-on interactive soapmaking experience! You’ll start by meeting our small herd of Nubian and Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats including the newest spring babies. You’ll get to try your hand at milking a dairy goat in our cozy milk house and then we’ll take that milk into our country classroom and learn how to pasteurize it.
The fun and education will continue as we learn how to make several types of goat milk soaps from the milk we just got from the goats! We’ll start by making a simple glycerin “melt-and-pour” soap. Then we’ll make a cold-process soap. This one is a little more involved, but the results are worth the effort! You’ll leave with several soap sample bars, the lotion, and the recipes and know-how to make these at home.
