We’ll teach you how to make those delicious fresh and squeaky cheddar cheese curds that you can take home and share with your family today. You’ll have the knowledge and recipes to make a fresh batch at home to enjoy with your holiday festivities. You’ll even learn how to press these fresh curds into a wheel of cheddar which you can eat in a week or wait longer for a well-aged version.
Once we have our fresh curds going, we’ll take a break to enjoy a light lunch with wine and dessert before being joined by Denise Milligan of Spanish Sunday who will teach you how to make the best Manchego ever! Just back from her annual stay in Spain, Denise will share with you all the tips and techniques she has learned from Spanish cheesemakers for making this amazing sheep milk cheese.
At the end of class, we’ll take a tour of our small dairy goat farm and you’ll get a chance to interact with our friendly herd of Nubians and Nigerian Dwarfs.
