Make Cheese on New Year’s Day! Cheesemaking 101 PLUS Creamery Tour – 2:00 pm

Come ring in the new year with a new hobby! At this lively and informative cheesemaking 101 class you’ll learn all about the essentials of cheesemaking including what equipment and ingredients you’ll need, how to select the best milk for your cheese, and the basic science (and art!) behind making your own cheese at home. We’ll go over Chevre & Fromage Blanc recipes together and you’ll get to taste some delicious fresh examples. At the end of class, we’ll have a guided cheese tasting with a variety of award-winning Haystack Mountain cheeses and you’ll get a behind-the-scenes tour of the creamery.

This class is on hold due to no enrollments as of Dec. 26th.  If you and a group of friends would like to take this class, please e-mail me at kate@theartofcheese.com.  We need a minimum of 6 for this class to run.
