Colby & Havarti – 6:00 pm CHEESE FOR CHARITY CLASS!

Colby & Havarti are examples of washed-curd cheeses which have a mild flavor and a moist texture which is created by diluting the whey with warm water during the cooking process. They are pressed and ripened like harder cheeses, but don’t require long-term aging to develop a full aroma and flavor. We will make a simple and delicious Colby together in class, and taste samples and review recipes for Havarti and several others.
This class is designated as our monthly CHEESE FOR CHARITY CLASS!
Half of all registration fees collected for the class will be donated to a worthy charity. Students who come to this class will get to nominate their favorite charity, tell the class about it (while we’re stirring curds!), and then the class will vote for the charity they feel deserves the contribution the most. The Art of Cheese will then write a check to that charity and students can pitch in a little extra if they’d like.
