Join us for class where you’lll learn how to make a great beginner cheese, Feta, along with Greek Yogurt (not exactly cheese, but similar concept). For beginner cheesemakers this is a great place to start because you won’t need a lot of fancy equipment or special ingredients to make these. We’ll cover three different ways to make your Feta: Dry-Salted, Marinated and Brined. The marinated version makes a lovely gift! And you’ll be surprised to learn how easy it is to make your own delicious and nutritious Greek yogurt right at home. We’ll tell you how to make good milk selections and cover all the basics of the art and science of cheesemaking. We’ll sample some freshly made cheeses with a nice glass of wine and you’ll go home with some tasty samples.
At the end of the class you’ll have the option to go on a brief tour of our farm and meet our friendly herd of dairy goats.
