Cheesemaking Class in Georgetown, CO – 6:00 pm

October 2 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

During this 2-hour hands-on introductory class, we will go over the basics of cheesemaking including:

* What is Cheese Exactly?

* All about Milk: raw vs pasteurized, homogenized vs. cream top, goat vs cow, organic vs conventional

* The Laws around Milk and Cheese

* The Basic Ingredients and Science of Cheesemaking

* Recommended Equipment and Supplies

Kate will teach students how to make Chevre and Feta throughdemonstration and hands-on activities. Students will get to taste finished samples of the cheeses and have an opportunity to make their own custom versions to take home. Recipes, instructions, all necessary ingredients and equipment, plus light snacks, will be provided.
