Cheesemaking 101 with Chevre & Guided Cheese Tasting + FARM TOUR! – 2:00 pm

Join Kelly Liebrock, Art of Cheese Instructor and Certified Cheese Professional, as you teaches you the basic art and science behind home-cheesemaking.  She’ll teach you how to make a simple but delicious chevre goat cheese, which you’ll get to sample fresh on the spot.  As she’s teaching you about this cheese, she’ll cover all the basics including:

  • how to source the best milk for your cheesemaking
  • the main ingredients needed and where to find them
  • equipment that you’ll need to make cheese
  • how to flavor your cheeses to make them your very own unique creations!

As you learn how to make cheese, Kelly will take you on a guided cheese sampling explaining a little about how each of the different cheeses are made.  You’ll get to enjoy these cheeses with a complimentary glass of wine or sparkling cider.  And at the end of class, you’ll get to take a quick farm tour and visit with our friendly herd of dairy goats.
