Cheese for Charity – Quick & Easy Cheeses: CHEVRE & FETA at Horseshoe Farm in Loveland – 4:00 pm

January 7, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

$59.00
chevre cheese

Attend this educational and entertaining class and learn how to make cheese while contributing to a worthy cause. You get to make (and eat) delicious cheeses and 25% of the profits will go to Hope Farms, a small non-profit suburban farm in Fort Collins that promotes the preservation of agricultural heritage and culture with education, social activities, and agritourism.

What a fun and tasty way to spend your afternoon! First, you’ll learn how to make Chevre – the delicious and easy classic soft goat cheese . We’ll talk about how to source the best milk, two different techniques used to make this cheese, and then you’ll get to make your own custom-flavored Chevre log to take home with you. Next, we’ll make some Feta cheese which you’ll get to sample fresh and then make your very own container of Tomato-Garlic-Basil marinated Feta to take with you. We’ll sample several varieties of these cheeses with a complimentary glass of wine or sparkling cider.

At the end of class you can say hello to the friendly farm animals including some Nigerian Dwarf goats and a pair of miniature horses!
