Cheesemaking 101 + Cheese & Hard-Cider Pairings – 5:30 pm with special guests: BABY GOATS!

March 27, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

$25.00

Join us for this popular educational and tasty happy hour at Longmont’s new St. Vrain Cidery! You’ll get to enjoy some delicious cheese and hard-cider pairings while watching homemade cheese being made by Kate Johnson of The Art of Cheese. During this interactive demonstration class, you’ll learn the basic art and science behind the cheesemaking process, equipment and key ingredients needed and how to source the best milk for making cheese at home.  Since it’s spring and fresh goat milk is starting to come in, we’re going to feature all goat’s milk cheeses this month.  And some special guests from Briar Gate Farm will make an appearance at the end of class for some snuggling and photo ops!

You’ll leave with some great recipes and the know-how to make a few easy cheeses yourself. We’ll also have Haystack cheeses available to purchase at a discounted price.
