Cheesemaker’s Home Kitchen Class: Getting Started with Pressed Cheeses – 1:00 – 4:00 pm

Join Art of Cheese Instructor Becca Heins, Certified Cheese Professional, in her home kitchen for an afternoon of hands on home cheesemaking. Today’s class will focus on pressed cheeses, like the ones we buy in one pound packages at the grocery store. You’ll learn hands on just how easy it is to make cheese at home!
We’ll spend the first part of class in the kitchen, making cheese and getting it into the cheese press. You’ll learn all about home cheesemaking ingredients and equipment. An instructional packet with recipes is included.
We’ll also explore Becca’s cheese aging space and discuss tips and aging techniques for these delicious cheeses. We’ll wrap up class with a relaxing glass of wine as we sample several homemade pressed cheeses. Class size is limited to 6 for a truly personal home cheesemaking experience!
